Graduate in Biochemistry by University of the Basque Country and Diploma of Advanced Studies in Food Technology from the University of the Basque Country, Master in Drug R&D by University of Navarra.

She has more than 19 years of experience in participating in R+D+i projects. She develops her research activity at Food & Health Area,  ​​the Health Division at TECNALIA.

Her work is focussed on the development of active packaging technologies, incorporation of natural additives to food, physical-chemical and microbiological analysis of food, isolation and identification of microorganisms, tests of antimicrobial activity of natural compounds and extracts, biotechnological processes (fermentations and cell cultures) to obtain products of interest and bioavailability and cytotoxicity studies in cell lines.

She has participated in European projects, projects subsidized by public administration and in contracts with companies.
