Dr. Laura Oliver, Msc and PhD in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country. Senior Researcher in Food & Health Area at Tecnalia. With more than 20 years` expertise in the development of R&D projects, with long-standing professional experience in the field of biomass valorisation, extraction and purification of added value compounds from different resources. She has received specific training in the field of extraction, purification and characterization of complex matrices through the development of new analytical techniques (UPLC/MS, GC/MS/MS, Time of flight spectrometry (QTOF) and multidimensional GC) in The Netherlands Institute for fisheries research, RIVO, Wageningen.
Her lines of reserarch are now focused on the development of new ingredients through physico-chemical and biotechnological processes for food and health application, working on numerous national and international projects. Additionally, she has participated as a researcher in two patents, one of them culminating in a NEBT.
