Degree in Biology (Universidad del País Vasco UPV-EHU) in 2006; Master’s Degree in Microbiology (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) in 2007; Postgraduate Certificate in Food Safety and Quality (Universidad de Vic) in 2008. She has more than 14 years of experience in the development of R&D projects in the Food and Health Area in Tecnalia. The researcher’s experience is focused on microencapsulation techniques for microorganisms and food ingredients, cell culture techniques, selection and identification of microorganisms, food microbiological analysis, biotechnology processes to obtain new products of interest, bioavailability and cytotoxicity studies and antimicrobial capacity studies. She has participated in European projects, projects subsidized by public administration and in contracts with companies and has taken part in the development of 3 patents.
