Dr. Lorena María Callejo Piedra. Senior Researcher in Tecnalia, Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA); Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (2001); Master's Degree in Materials and Surface Chemistry (2004); PhD in Chemistry (2007). With more than twenty years of expertise in materials field, she has managed and developed a number of research and innovation projects at national and international level, in different areas (with specialization in nanotechnology applied to steel and design and development of advanced novel steel grades for different applications in the transport and energy sectors). She is author of several scientific publications in international journals indexed in Web of Science, as well as author of the patent application EP24383419.9 – Method of preparation of a high-chromium heat-resistant ferritic/martensitic steel, 2024. Having collaborated in Bachelor's Theses, she is reviewer in international scientific journals, evaluator of RFCS (Research Fund for Coal and Steel) proposals for the European Commission, and member of Doctoral Examination Board.
