Environmental Engineer (2008) from the University of Santiago de Compostela and Technical Engineer in Industrial design (2005) and Industrial Organization Engineer (2014) from Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
I work as Senior Researcher in the City, Territory and Environment area, within the Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Unit of Tecnalia, since 2008. I have more than 10 years of experience in the field of sustainable construction and rehabilitation, in the recent years (since 2014) I have specialized in projects related to urban regeneration strategies trying to incorporate the sustainability as a main factor of these processes, including the design, development and implementation of NBS as climate adaptation measures for neighbourhoods and/or cities. As a result of my concern about the potential of data to advance the transformation of cities, I have participated in the development of various digital tools, based on GIS and BI software (IM pre-selection tool (Nature4Cities H2020), Green roof potential tool, still under development (Cure, H2020), Arch resilience inventory (Arch, H2020), NZC Solution Outliner (Netzerocities, H2020) or plant selection tool (Mygreen, Hazitek)).
Currently I combine my research with my job as the quality coordinator of TECU.
