PhD in Chemical Science at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU, 2013), in the field of Emulsion Polymerization. In 2006, she worked as a researcher for POLYMAT Institute (Spain). Since 2007, she works as a researcher at TECNALIA R&I (previously CIDEMCO). During 2014, she pursued a 6-month research stay at VTT Technological Center as a visiting researcher. Over the last years, she has participated in 40+ national & international R&D projects. She is inventor of a patent, published 12 papers (h-index=4) and, have participated in 10+ conferences and seminars (posters and oral presentations). Her research lines have dealt with the development of new products and biomaterials for construction (including Bio(nano)composites, (Nano)cellulose fiber-based materials and Lignocellulosic materials), Functionalization of cellulosic substrates, and Biomass and Wastes Revalorization. Currently, she is manly focused on critical metals recovery from wastes (batteries, black mass,…) by means of (electro)leaching processes using deep eutectic solvents (DES) or ionic liquids.
