I received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic and automatic engineering from the University of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Spain, in 2003 and 2007 respectively.
Since 2007, I have been with TECNALIA, Derio, Spain, where I am a Senior Research Engineer within the Energy Unit.
I have worked in many projects related to simulation and modelling of wind and wave power control systems for grid integration, in terms of grid code compliance and power quality. I have also participated in several projects related to the delivery and grid integration of offshore wind farms through HVAC and HVDC systems and the analysis and mitigation of problems arising from the interaction between AC and DC networks. I currently participates in projects related to procure grid services in the most reliable and efficient way, as well as, EV hosting capacity studies for SOs. As a result of the research carried out, I have more than ten publications in international conferences, ten journal articles and contributions to a book. In addition, I have co-directed the thesis "Small signal stability analysis of proportional resonant controlled VSCs connected to AC grids with variable X/R characteristic".
