Personal profile

ShortBio

I graduated as Industrial Automation and Electronics Engineer in 2009 at “Deusto University” in the Basque Country.  I completed a postgraduate course in “Digital Image Processing and Computer Vision” at the “Complutense University” of Madrid  in 2012.

I joined Tecnalia at 2008 (formerly Robotiker) as a researcher in the Automotive Area, where I developed advanced control and supervision algorithms for various processes related to laser technology (welding, joining dissimilar materials such as plastic-metal, thermal treatments, etc.).

Since 2020, I joined to the “Next Generation Factories” area within the Computer Vision platform, developing artificial vision applications (2D, 3D vision, and thermography), applying Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques.

I have contributed to the creation of a patent related to process automation “WO2013087947 - METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING CAST PARTS FROM BUNCHES OBTAINED USING CASTING PROCESSES” and registered the software DataVCSEL® for temperature control of parts processed using laser technology.

Research interests

My expertise is the development of non-conventional and customized solutions based on the combination of artificial vision (IR, OCT, multi-spectral, ad-hoc stereo-vision…) and IA (development of anomaly detection models, classification models, object detection models…) for the industry.
