Maite Ortiz de Zarate is Electronic and Automatic Engineer by the Deusto University (2002). She worked in ABGAM SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES in designing and developing software, and robot simulation, mainly using software IGRIP, for workcell assembly, reachability and accessibility analysis, offline programming, definition of layouts and simulation programs; as well as in the development of post-processors in different programming languages. Since 2008 she works in Tecnalia as researcher and technologist, since 2015 also as project manager. Her research lines are related with simulation, automation and optimization of Industrial Systems. She has worked on several research projects developing different applications focused mainly on simulation: development of traffic modules for AIMSUN, implementation of an ergonomic module in DELMIA, development a simulator for energy storage, simulations of robotic workcells with different softwares, development of applications oriented to flexible programming, etc…
