ShortBio
Chemical Engineer (2009), and PhD in Chemical Engineering (2016) by the University of the Basque Country (Spain), title of the thesis "Coke deactivation of HZSM-5 zeolite catalysts in olefin production processes". Master in “Chemical Process Engineering and Sustainable Development” (2010). During my research career I have focused on the characterisation of fresh, coke deactivated and regenerated catalysts. Determined the structure, nature, and coke content. Effect of catalyst deactivation on the porous and acid structure. Also, study of CO2 valorisation from the direct synthesis of DME with bifunctional catalysts (metal and acid phase) in conventional fixed bed reactor and membrane reactor. Design, synthesis, and applications of structured catalytic systems for biofuel production. I have experience in characterisation techniques: spectroscopy (NMR, Raman, FTIR, DRIFT, XPS, XRD, UV-Vis), microscopy (SEM, TEM, XRF), Thermogravimetry (TPO, TG), molecule adsorption: N2 adsorption-desorption, selective chemisorption (CO, N2O and H2), TPD (H2, CO, NH3 and pyridine). I am currently working as a researcher in the Circularity Area of the TECNALIA Research & Innovation Foundation (in the Waste Valorisation platform) recovering metals, waste valorisation and recovering metals with high added value by using deep eutectic solvents with electrochemical techniques and electroleaching. I have participated in several regional, national and European research projects related to the above topics. Author and co-author of several publications and communications to national and international conferences.
