Senior researcher at TECNALIA (Industry and Mobility Unit, Manufacturing Process and Materials Area). PhD in Materials Science (University of Navarra –- 2007) in the field of Microalloyed Steels. Degree in Chemistry with specialization in Petrochemicals (University of Basque Country - 2001).
She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of metallic materials, leading both experimental research and management of national and European R&D projects. Her expertise focuses on the improvement of materials properties through the process optimization and the development of new materials with advanced properties for several sectors such as automotive and energy. She is an expert user of material modelling tools (ThermoCalc, Dictra, JMatPro), dilatometer and equipment for microstructure and mechanical characterization. She has been evaluator of proposals submitted to the Research Fund for Coal and Steel European Program, has been supervisor of two doctoral thesis related with the development of new steel grades, and appears as co-author in several indexed journal publications.
