Personal profile

ShortBio

Marta Sagredo Acitores is a researcher in the Circular Economy group at Tecnalia, within the Bioeconomy and CO2 platform. She graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2019) and later obtained a Master's degree in Advanced Techniques in Chemistry, Analysis and Quality Control (2020) and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (2022). Her experience highlights her focus on environmental-related processes, specifically in research projects focused on CO2 capture and transformation. Her technical skills include handling high-pressure and high-temperature reactors, as well as expertise in technologies and processes for CO2 valorization, H2 production, methane, methanol, and Dimethyl Ether (DME). Currently, at the BIOCO2 team, in addition to CO2 valorization and the production of energy vectors such as H2, methane, methanol, and DME, she works on the development of "green solvents" (eco-friendly solvents) for various applications, with a particular focus on the textile and plastic industries, addressing the recovery of raw materials in these industries. Furthermore, she has experience in the physicochemical characterization of materials using various analytical techniques such as DSC, TGA, FTIR, GPC, GC-MS, and HPLC.
