Mikel Garcia de Andoin is a PhD student supported by a collaboration between TECNALIA and the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU since 2021. In 2020 he obtained a bachelor’s degree of in Physics and a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the UPV/EHU. In 2021 he obtained the master’s degree in Quantum Science and Technology at the UPV/EHU. From 2021 to 2023, he worked at the UPV/EHU, and now is working in the QTECH team at TECNALIA. He has worked mainly in quantum computing, especially quantum optimization algorithms. He has dedicated a large part of this thesis researching the digital-analog quantum computing paradigm, both its theoretical aspect and the implementation of algorithms. To date, he has published 2 articles in Q1 journals, 4 articles in conferences, and has participated in 3 other articles. He is currently working on several international collaborations, continuing with his research lines.
