Specialist in research on Cultural Heritage conservation, with a master’s degree in Restoration and Management of Cultural Heritage and broad experience studying heritage sites’ enhancement strategies. He has participated in conservation projects of vernacular architecture-built monuments in Ecuador, a monastery and a walled city in Northern Cyprus, as well as several heritage sites in the Basque Country, the Mediterranean Balearic Islands, La Rioja region´s walled towns (Spain) or La Habana Old Town, in Cuba. He worked in the microclimatic monitoring and later developing of the preventive conservation plan for the Portico de la Gloria in Santiago de Compostela´s Cathedral. As a researcher he has participated and lead tasks in a number of EU funded projects, always related to Cultural Heritage safeguarding, such as TEACH (FP7), HISTCAPE (INTERREG IVC), RURITAGE (H2020), SHCITY (INTERREG SUDOE), ARCH (H2020), SHELTER (H2020), IMPACTOUR (H2020), REGEN (Horizon Europe).
