Miren Etxeberria Benavides obtained her BSc in Chemistry (Specialization in Macromolecules) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) in 2008. She earned an MSc in Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials from the same institution in 2013, with a thesis on Synthesis of Polyimide 6FDA-6FpDA for Gas Separation Membranes. In 2021, she completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft, The Netherlands), focusing on High-Productivity Hollow Fiber Membranes for CO₂ Capture within the Catalysis Engineering group.

Since 2008, she has been a researcher at Tecnalia (Spain), in the Department of Membrane Technology and Process Intensification. Her research focuses on polymeric and mixed matrix membranes for gas separation, with expertise in polymer synthesis and the fabrication of flat and hollow fiber membranes via phase inversion. Her work contributes to the development of advanced membrane technologies for sustainable separation processes.
