Mechanical Engineer and Master in Aerospace Technologies at the University of the Basque Country (2004), developing her Final Project at Sener Ingeniería y Sistemas.
She has worked previously as a MRB engineer and as a Stress engineer in Gamesa Aeronáutica.
She joined Tecnalia in 2007 as a project manager in the Fire Security Area within the Sustainable Construction Division.
Now she works as a researcher in the Infrastructures Area. She has an extensive experience in structural assessment of concrete and steel structures, diagnosis and assessment of pathologies and design of reinforcements in construction of civil and building structures.
Since 2013 she has specialized her activity in projects related to the impacts of climate change on civil infrastructure. She has participated in national and international research projects such as HARMONISE (“Holistic Approach to Resilience and SysteMatic ActiOns to Make Large Scale UrbaN Built Infrastructure Secure”, European Comission 2013-2016), INFRA_ADAPT (“BIM technologies for the predictive management of road infrastructures vulnerable to the effects of climate change”, CDTI 2016-2018) or FORESEE (“Future proofing strategies FOr RESilient transport networks against Extreme Events”, H2020 EU Research and Innovation programme, 2018-2022).
