BSc. Noelia Alvarez (female). BSc in Biological Sciences in the Oviedo University (1998) has been working for TECNALIA (previously Inasmet) since 2000. She is the responsible of the Biological Assays Laboratory in TECNALIA and the responsible of its Quality System. Accredited by FELASA in Category “C” (Animal Protection and Experimentation for Biomedical Science Experimenters). At present, highlights her experience as a researcher in the next R+D projects focusing on: 1) Biocompatible Products Development: in charge of the medical devices Biocompatibility Evaluation, through in vivo and in vitro tests. 2) Study of the materials toxicity and the effects on the healthcare, highlighting the, Nanotoxicology studies during last years. 3) Development and characterization of superficial biocide treatments for several materials.
