ShortBio
Odei Rey Orozco is a researcher and project manager within the Digital (Core AI) team at Tecnalia. She holds a degree in mathematics and a cum laude PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Stuttgart and CERN. During her doctorate, she specialized in the availability studies of high-energy particle accelerators, using mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence techniques, among others. Subsequently, she focused on the application of artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling in the field of e-health, developing solutions for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases at the Technology Center of Catalonia (Eurecat). She has supervised several master's projects and co-supervised a doctoral thesis on the detection and classification of gliomas in magnetic resonance images using deep neural networks.
Currently, her specialization mainly focuses on the application of artificial intelligence, especially in the fields of health and cybersecurity. Her main focus is on applying artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling in processes to improve their utility and effectiveness, primarily based on data.
