Dr. Oihane Echeverria Altuna holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (2017) and a Master’s in Renewable Materials Engineering (2018). Between 2018 and 2022, she conducted her doctoral research at TECNALIA, as part of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), in collaboration with the ‘Materials + Technologies’ (GMT) Group at UPV/EHU. Her research focuses on two main areas within the field of sustainable polymers and composites: (1) the development of new bio-based resins for structural applications, including chemical modifications to enhance recyclability and circularity, and (2) the synthesis of bio-based polymers using advanced emulsion and miniemulsion techniques.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
