Olatz is a telecommunications engineer with over 15 years of experience in the mobile communications sector. She has spent the last 11 years working for the telecommunications operator Vodafone New Zealand, where she was responsible for radio access network design and led the team. She obtained her Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of the Basque Country in 2005 and later, in 2019, a Master's in Engineering Management from the University of Auckland (New Zealand).

Currently, Olatz is part of the High-Performance Architectures group at TECNALIA, where she works as a project manager for both international and national projects related to Edge Intelligence and cybersecurity. She is currently the coordinator of the European project NOTIONES (Horizon 2020 CSA) and participates in the European project CYBERSPACE (ISFP-2020-AG-CYBER).
