Pierre Menger is graduated as Master in Environmental Sciences. He works as researcher and project manager in the Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Unit (TECU) in TECNALIA since 2008. Pierre counts with extensive experience in assessment and decision support instruments in the fields of sustainable land management and regeneration, resource efficiency and circular economy transitions. Over his more than 20 years’ experience, he gathered international experience through his leadership in several EU funded projects and strong involvement within EU networks (contaminated land, critical raw materials, waste, resource efficiency). Since 2016, he is involved in several EU funded projects focused on circular economy, among others dealing with system thinking approaches and transition roadmaps towards sustainable use of resources. From 2017 to 2021 he acted as secretary of the European Alliance of Technological Research Centres in Circular Economy (ECERA). Since 2021 he is member of the Coordination and Support Office of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative, an initiative of the European Circular Economy Action Plan
