Raúl Ugarte holds a BsC in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country and has received specific education in Life Cycle Assessment and Ecodesign methodologies in the “Basque Ecodesign Hub”, hosted by IHOBE (Basque Public Agency of Environment). In 2016 he joined the Circular Economy team of Tecnalia, focusing his research in the development and application of life-cycle oriented methodologies to calculate environmental and social impacts (LCA, CF, S-LCA), in the application of integration methods across sustainability domains for decision making and in the development and implementation of circularity indicators at meso, micro and nano levels. In addition, he investigates also how to operationalise and digitalise these methodologies.
