Electronic Engineer from Simón Bolívar University (2014, Caracas, Venezuela) and PhD in Control Engineering, Automation, and Robotics from the University of the Basque Country (2016–2019, Bilbao, Spain). His research experience began in 2013 with a stay at INRIA (Paris, Rocquencourt), focused on control algorithms for automated vehicles.

Since 2016, he has been part of Tecnalia Research and Innovation (Derio, Basque Country, Spain), where he has been working as a Senior Researcher in the Connected and Automated Driving group since 2020. His current research interests include decision-making and control algorithms, enhancing operational safety in ground vehicles, and advanced AI techniques such as Deep Reinforcement Learning and Generative AI applied to automated mobility.
