Research interests
She is Chief Technology Officer at Tecnalia Research & Innovation. She holds a BSc degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of the Basque Country. She is an Expert in Business and Technology Management and holds a master’s degree in business Innovation from the University of Deusto.
At Tecnalia, she is responsible for the Innovation Management System, thus developing Strategic Technology Management, promoting Scientific-Technological Excellence, establishing Technology Roadmaps, and monitoring innovation performance metrics. She also establishes public funding corporate policies to develop R&D strategies and implements Project and Intelectual Property Asset Portfolio Management to maximise the value of the results.
She was coordinator of European Projects for 15 years, and previously she was a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of the Basque Country and worked at the Donostia International Physics Center.
She is a member of the Scientific, Technological and Innovation Community in the Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (CACTI) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities since June 2023.
