Degree in Chemistry (2001) and PhD in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (2013). She is currently senior researcher in the Food & Health Area of the Health Unit of TECNALIA. She has more than 20 years’ professional expertise in R&D for the food sector. Her lines of specialization are focusing on obtaining active extracts from different matrices (vegetable, animal and/or by-products of the agri-food industry) applying innovative technologies of extraction, in the development of food and technologies to improve the analysis, properties and nutritional value of food. Throughout her professional career, she has published 8 articles in high-impact scientific journals, has led several research projects and has participated in more than 40 projects, both for public funding and for private companies, at national and European level.
