She has led and participated in numerous R&D projects, both national and European projects, related to: the implantation of advanced CAD/CAM/CAE techniques in the industry; the development of interactive simulation environments; the improvement of the steel making process in order to increase its energy efficiency, reduce costs and/or improve product quality (by means of data based and mathematical models and optimization tools); the development of low density steels; and the development of new steel grades with improved mechanical properties for different applications (mainly in the fields of the third generation of advanced high strength steels and the improved resistance to hydrogen embrittlement). She is co-author of a patent application (PCT/EP2021/081262) and of several indexed scientific journal publications.
