Industrial Engineer from the University of the Basque Country, with extensive experience in the field of manufacturing engineering, particularly in chip removal machining. After working at a machining workshop, where tasks included the design of fixtures and the programming of machining centers using CAD/CAM systems, since 2007 has been working as a researcher in R&D projects at Tecnalia. Currently, projects are directed in the field of manufacturing, with the main objective of characterizing, monitoring, and optimizing machining processes for various applications, materials, and economic sectors. Participation in various national and European research projects, with a special emphasis on collaboration with machining companies, is noted. Areas of expertise include machining, chip removal, machine tools, intelligent fixtures, artificial vision, robot and machining center programming, numerical control, CAD/CAM, and Industry 4.0.
