She holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country and a PhD in Materials Engineering. Her professional experience has been developed in the field of metal materials behaviour under aggresive service conditions and failure analysis. She has participated in numerous research projects, both public and private, at national and European level, focused on the selection, evaluation and prediction of service life of metallic materials, mainly for the oil&gas, biomass, offshore, nuclear and solar thermal energy secors. In recent years se has had a significant activity on topics related to materials compatibility in contact with hydrogen.
