M. Sc. Degree in Electronic Engineering (University of Cagliari, Italy) with specialization in semiconductor devices. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the field of photovoltaics.
Between 2008 and 2012 he worked at IK4-Ikerlan (Mondragón, Spain) contributing to the R&D of novel materials and microstructuring process techniques for thin film devices such as OLEDs and OSCs (Organic Solar Cells) on flexible and rigid sustrates. Later at ICIQ (Tarragona, Spain) he dedicated most of his activity to the design, manufacture and characterization of PV devices, with special effort in new technologies that use hybrid organic-inorganic materials, such as perovskites, for sensors and solar devices. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in different high-impact scientific journals.
In 2018 he joined Tecnalia`s solar energy group, and he is currently the head of the PV modules group, coordinating the R&D activity and responsible for the indoor characterization and testing activity. His activity encompasses the design and characterization of photovoltaic modules and, as a senior researcher, he participates in the development of innovative technologies throughout the entire value chain, from the cell to the module.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
