the EXTRAORDINARY DOCTORATE AWARD in the academic year 2020/2021 within the Area of Knowledge Social and Legal Sciences, to our colleague Marco Bianchi for his Doctoral Thesis entitled “Monitoring domestic material consumption at subnational level: Enabling the territorial perspective”. Marco had the opportunity to present how his thesis contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 11: Sustainable cities and communities, and 12: Responsible production and consumption. His research advances the understanding of the socio-economic dynamics that drive resource consumption, supporting local policy formulations for sustainable cities and communities.
