The article Lamellar Spacing Modelling for LPBF Aluminium Parts has been nominated for the JMMP 2022 Best Paper Award, an award that seeks to recognize the most impactful contributions published during 2022 in the Journal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing (JMMP). This article, which presents some of the latest results obtained in the multiscale modeling of additive manufacturing of aluminum alloys by LPBF, has been written in collaboration with IMH Campus and UPV/EHU. The results shown have been obtained during the development of the ICME project, funded by the Elkartek program of the Basque Government (KK-2021/00022). The multiscale modeling of the Additive Manufacturing process of aluminum alloys by LPBF is one of the lines of work that is part of the ICME by Tecnalia initiative. The authors of the article are Eva Anglada and Jose Carlos García, from the Manufacturing Processes and Materials area of I&M, Mario Arrue and Xabier Cearsolo, from the IMH Campus, and Iñaki Garmendia from the UPV/EHU.
