On February 25, the "Women and Innovation in Security" Awards were presented at the International Security Exhibition (Sicur). These awards, in their first edition, reward the work of women in this field. Twelve women have been awarded, among them, our colleague Ana Ayerbe, Director of the CORES area of the UO Digital, who has received the Award in Cybersecurity.
On the other hand, in the international arena, Ana has been selected to be part of the book "Hacking gender barriers: Europe's top cyber women", published by The Women4Cyber Foundation, which highlights the best cyber women in Europe, more than 100 women working in the field of cybersecurity in Europe. The aim of the book is to shed light on the different professional roles in cybersecurity and inspire young women by showcasing active female role models in the cybersecurity field.
SICUR is the major international benchmark for security in Spain. Every two years, it brings together companies, associations, professionals and users of global security in the public and private spheres in Madrid.
The Women4Cyber Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2019 aimed at promoting, encouraging and supporting the participation of women in the field of cybersecurity. Its mission is to develop and grow a cybersecurity community through networking, awareness, education and training.
