The award for technological innovation at the S2R-2018 Congress Forum of PESI 'Research in Cybersecurity'

The Congressional Expert Committee was responsible for awarding the prizes and presented the S2R-2018 Technological Innovation Award to TECNALIA’s Industrial Blockchain Laboratory, specifically for the nomination “Research in Cybersecurity.”

The award was received by Ana Ayerbe, who leads the team of researchers at TECNALIA working to support companies in their software development processes from architectural, security, and cybersecurity perspectives. Ana has actively contributed to the ECSO SRIA and has been part of the “Secure Societies Advisory Group” in H2020. She is also a board member of eSEC and RENIC.

During the award ceremony, Ana Ayerbe highlighted “the disruptive role of Blockchain technology and its ability to ensure cybersecurity from the design stage of systems.” She also emphasized the facilities of the Industrial Blockchain Laboratory, which are pioneering in Europe and allow companies to: learn from success stories, experiment, test technological solutions and business models for their subsequent implementation.
