An omniphobic and biocide sol-gel coating composition

The present invention relates to repellent sol-gel coatings, namely to repellent, omniphobic and biocide sol-gel coating compositions useful as non-stick surfaces. Particularly, the repellent, omniphobic and biocide sol-gel coating compositions of the present invention are useful to prepare antiadhesive, easy-to-clean, antifogging, anti-icing and antifouling surfaces, for having a durable low interfacial energy and non-leaching antibacterial activity also with low roughness and anticorrosion properties. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the sol-gel coated substrate and the coated substrate obtainable by the process.
