abstract = "Thermal analysis is a quality control tool in aluminium casting plants. The cooling curve and its derivatives analysis offer parameters that can be used in simulation software programs to improve simulation accuracy and to control the metallurgical quality of cast parts. This paper shows the calculation of thermo-physical, solidification and precipitated phases characteristics of AlSi10Mg1 cast aluminium alloy. Minor alloying elements are included, comparing the results with the results obtained by using other methods as the Silicon Equivalent (SiEQ), showing a very good correlation with the different developed formula.",
