    Abstract

    The ductility of three steels microalloyed with V and with a variable Ti content. Comparison of the characteristics of connecting rod shanks manufactured with these three steels by controlled forging. Simulation by twisting to define the composition and forging parameters giving the best resistance and toughness. Twisting is a reliable tool for optimization of strain during forging.
