N2 - Efficient methods for the preparation of combinatorial libraries of receptors have been reported recently and, in most cases, these have led to the identification of host-like molecules that bind a particular substrate selectively. Dynamic libraries of macrocycles have also been synthesised that could open the way to a new selection approach to receptors and catalysts.
