N2 - H2020 RAGTIME main objective is to lay out a whole system planning software platform, based on standard multiscale data models, able to facilitate a holistic management throughout the entire lifecycle of the infrastructure, providing an integrated and multi-scale view of risk-based approach, implementing risk-based models, resilient concepts and mitigation actions. This paper presents a review of recent events that occurred in the last decades and especially since 2000, as an example of the types of potential risks, their different origins and their magnitude of the consequences. All of them are related to bridge technical aspects, which resulted in a total interruption or at best a reduction of the service capacity of the transport infrastructure with the consequent personal injury or economic impact. Characteristics of the different Incident/Accident are identified, and some relevant information, when possible, is provided on the reasons, consequences and comments on the interruption of service or subsequent repairs.
