Leveraging Self-Sovereign Identity for Cloud Services Cybersecurity Certification

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The certification process for cloud services is still inefficient, involving a lot of manual labor, causing delays and possible compliance risks. This paper suggests a novel framework leveraging Self-Sovereign Identity SSI technology to enhance the cybersecurity certification process for cloud services. The framework’s architecture, data models, main components, and operation are described in detail, as well as its potential for deployment on the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure to create a European cross-border certification framework. As a result, the efficiency, transparency, and security of cybersecurity certification processes is improved, ultimately contributing to higher levels of trust and compliance in cloud services.
