Abstract

In this paper, a new detector for measuring electric fields is presented, combining the use of a tapered single mode optical fiber (taper) with an electrochromic material; a study of this electrochromic material is also presented. In addition, the developed detectors can have memory properties, that is, they can be suitable for storing the last maximum value, and therefore working as peak detectors.
