Abstract

We have studied the effect of the Cu and Ta additions on the microstructural and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline FeSiB alloys. The nanocrystalline state was obtained by Joule heating the precursor amorphous alloys. According to ours results the FeSiB and FeTaSiB parcially crytallized samples showed a remarkable degree of decoupling between the crytalline and the residual amorphous matrix while the FeSiBCu system displayed by means of the hysteresis loops measurement a good coupling between the two present phases (crytalline and amorphous phases).
