Abstract

By applying both ionic liquid (IL) and supported ionic liquid phase (SILP) strategies to active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), new materials are obtained, API-SILPs, that provide a new drug delivery system where novel liquid pharmaceutical salts achieve solids handling with fast and complete release from the silica.
