Abstract

Temperature sensitive nanofilms based on Quantum Dots (QDs) has been deposited on the inner holes of a Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) using the layer by layer electrostatic selfassembly method. The sensing structure is based on a PCFfiber segment spliced between two Multimode Fibers (MMF) of different diameters. The sensors showed a linear variation of the intensity and wavelength emission for a temperature range from-20 °C to 70 °C.
