Abstract

This paper shows the utilization of a fiberoptic sensor system for monitoring the cladding of a communications tower composed by new panels with an alveolar sandwich type structure. The system carries out the remote real-time monitoring of 31 optical fiber sensors: 20 deformación sensors, 10 temperature sensors and an accelerometer.
