Abstract

Skin-stiffened composites have been extensively used in aerospace to produce lightweight structures. Stringer debonding is one of the most critical types of damage in this type of structure. Implementing a self-healing functionality within the bond line would benefit the service life of the component by repairing it when damage occurs.
