Abstract
Studies of micro structure (SEM and metalographic micrographs) and magnetic properties (remanent magnetisation and coercive field) have been performed on bipolar sintered Sr-ferrite permanent magnets obtained by powder injection molding (PIM) method under applied magnetic field in order to align the magnetic particles during the PIM process. Magnetic measurements on the samples were made in the parallel and perpendicular direction of the aligning magnetic field. The remanence in the direction of alignment increased sharply with the alignment field to a maximum value of 3840 Gs while the coercivity decreases to a minimum value of 3220 Oe.
