Abstract

Supported scavengers have been developed to facilitate the removal of unwanted by-products and excess reagents from reaction mixtures. They have been exploited in a wide range of organic reactions, where they can lead to the quick purification of the product by simple filtration. This powerful strategy can therefore be applied in high throughput solution-phase parallel or multi-step organic synthesis. This article intends to give a flavour of recent developments in the field by covering selected examples from the recent literature.
