Abstract

Ecogem is a project funded by the European Commission under the FP7 program which aims to develop a driver assistance system for electric vehicles to determine the most efficient routes from the point of view of electricity consumption, considering cooperation between vehicles to avoid congested areas and using learning algorithmicts to forecast the electrical consumption in the route. On the other hand, the prototype will also show the recharging points available next to the vehicle and the vehicle driver will be able to make its booking. In order to determine the electrical consumption of a route, different boundary conditions have to be considered, as the topography, traffic flows, weather, etc. In this paper is considered an electrical consumption equation included in a traffic simulator considering slopes.
