Resumen

At the AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) Summit of Bilbao (Spain), June 27-29, 2012, participants agreed to a declaration to support market and policy development for the aging society. The declaration is meant to open new avenues to fill the gap between health and welfare demands and effective ICT solutions. It addresses stakeholders such as users, academia, technological centres, industry, and health and social care systems. The declaration was signed by a number of representatives of both governmental agents and commercial firms.
