Resumen

The paper proposes a new architecture for collaborative working environments (CWE) in manufacturing industry. The intention is to contribute to a definition of a reference architecture for CWE. In order to define such an architecture, specific requirements regarding CWE in manufacturing industry are analysed. Three views upon such an architecture are elaborated: User level reference architecture, Building block level reference architecture, and Software interface level reference architecture. The novel proposed architecture follows principles of Service Oriented architecture (SOA) and WEB 2.0 approach. Implementation issues are discussed as well.
